A day in the life of a mediocre . . .

A day in the life of a mediocre teenager. . It’s a challenging, it’s difficult and it just such a mixture. Trying to please everyone around you, and then trying to do what you want at the same time. It’s hard on us teens growing up, having to deal with siblings, family, school life, and just dealing with  friends and attempting to balance out your social life .During the school year for me I found the most stressful trying to keep my grades up and still have a cool freshmen year. Now that I have a taste about what the “High school Life” is about I’m sure I’ll be more organized. I learned a lot this freshman year about friends; who I can and can’t trust, educationally , and just over all. I got more awareness to why everyone is the way they are in high school. Not everyone is not amicable and cordial in high school; I now have an impression on what college life is like it’s just a smidgeon of what college will be like. I can’t wait to embark college to see and experience all the great advantages and FREEDOM !I can’t wait to be on my own to make my own decisions for myself and be independent. I’m sure any mediocre teen would be  un- patient to aboard college. Being a teen I can truthfully say it’s challenging but everyday I’m managing my way through it. It’s great I Love it Though , My mother tells me to “appreciate that you’re not grown yet because, before you know it you’ll  be off on your own!” so I’m patient and waiting : )

Refection of my freshman year at parkway west

My freshmen year at parkway west has been quite an experience. I've learned a lot of new things and gotten to see the real high school world, of course it turned out to be nothing like TV but it was a little similar. At the beginning of the school year I would have considered my self-shy, quiet and to my self. But through out the year I could feel a change in my self, my atmosphere, and even in my grades. I was not my self lately. I started to conform but as this year abruptly comes to an end I can say I survived my freshman year and anticipate becoming a sophomore next year. This year was rough and I had many obstacles with keeping up, staying on top of my “ A” game, being alert and even at times just making an effort .For an example in the first few weeks of school I barely had anyone to talk to. I would just sit down quietly and copy notes but now since the year is ending I’ve seem to become careless and walk into the classroom and just not get right to my work. I will procrastinate, talk, and just not be attentive. But lately I have been working on that because I have some catching up to do. During this change I wouldn’t say it was good, it was bad, and I will try my best to improve my actions. During middle school I was as out and open to everything as I am now academically I was on the roll. But when I look at my self now I saw a difference. But coming to parkway I excerpted it to me perfect, I would just have fun all the time and that it would just be a breeze. But reality set in after a while and it turned out to be no joke.

Is anger a good thing ?

Can getting angry be a good thing?  In the eyes of Cecilia Munoz,  getting angry is good . When she was younger she discovered the outrage as a kind of fuel. She was 17 years old, 1980 she was at the dinner table with her family and they were having a discussion about wars going on in central America and how they are partnered with the united states .But what really upset Cecilia is that she was one day having a conversation with a friend and he looked me n the eye and said that if the united states were to one day go into war with Latin America that , he believed my parents belonged in an internment camp just like the Japanese-Americans during world war two .From then on and she doubt the fact whether her and he family belonged in this country. From that day on she became active and very furious and headed straight to the civil rights movement. And she’s been working there ever since she was serious and ready to prove a point.she then moved to Washington to work as an advocate .some stranger wrote an letter to her mother of how good and intelligent it is when it comes to her job. Her mother was so proud of her and was wondering why her daughter was describe so intense and going hard at her work. But she then found out that anger had a way in Celilia. She was very helpful to different families, she was generous and always nice .

Broadcasting a world of whitness

This article was about a television show called “Girls” that shows Sunday nights that shows on HBO. Its about a girl and her non-boyfriend Adam that have sex and she later becomes pregnant .Her name is Jessa, she’s nervously deciding about an abortion but she comes to the decision that she wants to have children by many men of different races. The show failed and was harshly criticized after its debut this month .This show is full of all central figures- four young women wandering New York for love that are white. In the opinion of Jon Caramanica so far the non white characters are “on the margin at best, With just a handful of lines among them. This article mainly discusses the topic of how tv shows now a day are not diverse enough. The level of diversity determines if it stands or falls, and “Girls” is hardly in the whiteness”. HBO is a movie channel that was made to entertain. But movie critics don’t think that girls, the show is doing a very good job at it. JON the author say that many other shows that are not all whit dominant are not criticized such as the “East bound” or “How I met your mother”. Other shows that are aired on HBO are “How to make it to America” and “The wire  but these were also cancel after a couple years of being aired on HBO.but this show is to just show how we can improve and just to get the opinion, information and back round thoughts of  JON CARAMANICA

New Fashion Wrinkle

Woolrich , a 182-year-old clothing company, this company as you see has been around for many years and is very popular for their fashion statement and way of attire .This clothing company now has so new adjustments . they have clothing that you are able to hide weapons in such as guns, and knifes. This company has made a lot of money off of these clothing’s to customers. I believe that this line of clothes is extremely unessacary . I believe it supports all the wrong reasons I mean really who wants special clothing to hide their weapons. To be realistic I believe that this type of paraphernalia should only be sold to be in the army or police men, because they need it. To me it supports all the wrong reasons, it probably make people eager to purchase un needed weapons.”The chinos, that cost 65.00$, are not for commandos, but rather, the company says, for the fashion-aware gun owner. And Woolrich has competition” So this mean that wool rich isn’t the only company. And some frugal people might think that these items are quite expensive .But that does matter if it well quality.  Many  people who are actually in the army , appreciate these clothing items. Shawn Thomson 35 yrs, who  works at an auto dealership in eastern Kentucky brought two shirts recently , and he wrote on his blog that “Most of the clothes I used in the past to hide my side arm looked pretty sloppy and had my girlfriend complaining about my looks” So that’s one complaint.
